Meet the Marcotte Family Chiropractic Staff

Rebecca Marcotte - Office Manager, Chiropractic Assistant
Rebecca Marcotte

Dr. Mike and I got married In September 2006, and we welcomed our second child into our family in June 2010. I have three nephews and two nieces who I have thoroughly enjoyed watching grow over the years, we also have quite a few kids who come to play at the office while there parents get adjusted. I have always enjoyed the children in my life, however, I have found a new level of joy since becoming a mom to my beautiful little boys. The challenges and rewards of bringing your own children into the world and helping to teach and mold them into their own little person is a blessing that I am grateful to have the chance to experience.

Prior to meeting Mike I had no experience or Knowledge of chiropractic, but I did have quite a bit of experience with low back pain that would prevent me from going a whole day without discomfort and at times required me to sit just to relieve the pain. I was very nervous about trying chiropractic, not because I feared anything in particular but more, I feared the unknown. Mike introduced me to Chiropractic care in such a gentle way that I realized there was nothing to fear and that he felt he could really help me. After my first adjustment, I was a bit in awe at how something so gentle could give me such a great amount of relief.

I had been getting adjusted for about a year and a half and had become quite passionate about Chiropractic when I decided to join the practice as the office manager. Not only do I enjoy seeing our patients on a daily basis and get to follow their progress as they gain an understanding of what works for them, but I also am blessed to be able to work beside my husband while he does such amazing things for people.

Erica Vaillancourt- Chiropractic Assistant
Erica Vaillancourt

I grew up in Auburn and attended Edward Little High School. I have two sisters and one brother, all of which I adore a great deal. Family and friends are extremely important to me. My boyfriend Brady and I live in Lewiston with our dog Gobo. I enjoy spending time in my garden, relaxing outside at the lake, spending time with family and friends and cooking.

My first experience with chiropractic was actually the first day that I started working with Dr. Mike. I had never seen a chiropractor before but wanted to be adjusted so I would know what it felt like for the patients and to ease any fears and concerns that they may have. Following my adjustment I felt great! I was always under the assumption you saw a chiropractor if you had an injury or an accident but I have learned that chiropractic care is also a good way to optimize your overall health.

Before coming to Marcotte Family Chiropractic I had previously worked in an orthopaedic practice for a few years and was ready for a change. I have a strong desire to work with people and wanted something that allowed me to be more involved on the clinical side of the practice. When I was presented with the opportunity to join Marcotte Family Chiropractic I was extremely excited. This gave me the opportunity to learn something new and become more involved with patients. Since starting I have learned a great deal and am eager to help you with your chiropractic needs.

Dr. Mike Asks some important questions of interest to Gray residents - Chiropractor Gray Dr. Mike Asks...

Are chiropractors just concerned with the spine?
Our interest in the spine is because it covers the major communications conduit between your brain and your body. As a Gray chiropractor my job is to locate areas (usually along the spine) that interfere with proper nerve communications to and from your brain. Chiropractic adjustments help restore nervous system integrity. In this way, chiropractic care can affect the function of your entire body.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
