Your First Visit to Our Office

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

Your first visit to our office will last approx. 1 to 1-1/2 hours.  When you first arrive Melissa will greet you right away.  She will have some paper work to go over with you and for you to fill out, if you have not already done so at home and brought it with you.  If you have any questions about the paper work feel free to ask Melissa.

After your paper work is completed we will show you a short introductory video that is approx. 7 minutes long followed by 2 scans of your spine.  The first scan is called the Thermal Scan, which will read temperature variances in the area surrounding the spine.  The second scan is called the Static Scan, which is used to read muscle activity such as muscle spasms and/or an in-balance in muscle activity from your left side to your right side.

Both these scans are surface scans only and completely non-invasive, not to be confused with an X-ray, if an x-ray is needed that will be decided by the Dr. when you meet with him for your consultation.  These 2 scans are used in our office as tools to help give the Dr. a more rounded picture of how your body is responding to your daily activities, a recent injury, or a long-standing misalignment of the spine.  We will do follow up scans periodically throughout your care to track how your body is responding to Chiropractic care.

After we have completed the preliminary scans you will be introduced to Dr. Mike for a consultation and evaluation.  During your consultation with the doctor you will have the opportunity to discuss your short and long-term health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you.  We look forward to meeting you.

Dr. Mike Asks some important questions of interest to Gray residents - Chiropractor Gray Dr. Mike Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
