Massage Therapy
When used in combination, chiropractic and massage therapy form a powerful healing approach that address your health needs on many levels. This combination can help to speed up the healing process. For those reasons, our Gray office has three massage therapists available to attend to your soft-tissue needs. If you have any questions about massage therapy, please feel free to speak with Dr. Mike when you are in for your adjustments.
Meet our Massage Therapists
Christine Doyle - L.M.T.

I grew up in the Gray-New Gloucester area and went to Gray High school. I was involved In Track and Field, and dedicated to basketball for the four years. I started under care at Marcotte Family Chiropracticwhen I was a senior; my love for sports was also a cause for quite a bit of low back pain. When I started getting regular adjustments and muscle work, I noticed a dramatic reduction in the pain that I was experiencing and was able to participate in my sports at a higher level. It was a great balance for me and still is. I continue to do year round sports and chiropractic is part of the reason I can stay healthy and active.
When I first decided I wanted to become a massage therapist I knew that I wanted to work in a medical atmosphere. I really wanted to be able to help people feel better. I attended the Therapeutic program at Spa Tech Institute. The program teaches many different techniques ranging from, Swedish, Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue, pregnancy and labor massage, reflexology and how teach and stretch your clients. I find myself using a combination of all these techniques. My greatest passion is working with pregnant woman. The process that a woman’s body goes through during pregnancy, and during, thru and after labor is amazing. Their body is constantly changing. I love being a part in helping someone go through this process. In June of 2008 I will be receiving my Doula certificate, which will provide me with special training to help guide woman thru their pregnancy and birth.
Out side of work I try to keep myself in good health by staying active year round. I volunteer with the Maine Handicapped ski program at sugar loaf, it’s really a great way to give back. You get to meet awesome people who are trying to make the best of what they have to work with. I also love camping, hiking, running, kayaking, and traveling as much as I can with my friends and family.
Christine Boudreau - L.M.T (Chris)

A 1999 graduate of the New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts, Chris has maintained a commitment to massage and alternative health. As part of her Bachelor's in Sociology at Binghamton University, Chris built upon her knowledge of global health care systems and philosophies, as well as absorbed some basics on acute injuries and stages of rehabilitation. In her practice, she gravitates toward deep tissue and neuromuscular methods for their ability to stretch, balance and retrain various tissues in the body, a process that can effectively reduce trauma response and patterns of chronic pain. She enjoys collaborating with Dr. Marcotte, as the goals of chiropractic and massage are highly complimentary and because he shares a similar philosophy of care. Chris is focused on promoting the body's inherent healing properties and she thrives along with clients in their awareness of themselves and their many opportunities for wellness, both in and out of the office!
Chris takes pleasure in a wide variety of outdoor activities including snowboarding, kayaking, running (ok, jogging), swimming and hiking. She also has experience with the benefits of resistance training and would like everyone to know that "yoga changed my life." She strives for balance in every way, committing a large amount of time also to family, friends and her continued education. Current pastime reads include "Body of Work" by Montross "The Age of Reform" by Hofstadter.
Rachel Rachel Orciani - L.M.T.

I started working in Chiropractic in 2003 after graduating from the University of Southern Maine where I earned a degree in Communication, knowing I wanted to choose a career path that would allow me to interact with people. I was hired as a Patient Advocate Chiropractic Assistant at a practice and soon realized I had found my passion. Not only did I love working in the field of natural & holistic health care, I found that I was also reaping many of the benefits of chiropractic myself. My once frequent headaches were now rare and I noticed that I didn't get nearly as many colds as before.
As the practice started to grow, we introduced massage therapy to the office which I took an interest in. I loved working with people, educating and introducing them to all the health benefits of chiropractic, but I felt I wanted to do more. In 2005 I started researching massage therapy schools and found the New Hampshire Institute of Therapeutic Arts to be just the school I was looking for. Their curriculum offered a broad range of techniques, and modalities which I felt encompassed the art of Massage Therapy.
While attending NHITA, I was unable to keep my job, due to my class schedule, which is when I started working part-time for Marcotte Family Chiropractic at the front desk.
In June 2006, I graduated from NHITA and became licensed as a Massage Therapist working at both Marcotte Family Chiropractic as well as the other office I had previously worked for. I instantly fell in love with my new career and knew without a doubt I had made one of the best decision of my life. After a year of working at both offices, due to a variety of circumstances, as much as I loved working at Marcotte Family Chiropractic, I made the decision to leave. 3 years later, after receiving a call from Dr. Mike asking if I would like to work for his office a couple afternoons a week, I gladly came back and have enjoyed every minute of it! I feel very fortunate to work with such amazing people, and our wonderful clients have helped make me feel welcome here.
I currently live in Kennebunk with my husband Mike. We enjoy attending Red Sox and Patriots games, boating, hiking, and other outdoor activities in our beautiful state! I also enjoy running and have recently started taking Zumba classes, which I love!
